A Transformation of Old Press / Mill Lane South
Pembroke College is consulting with local stakeholders and residents about its proposed regeneration of the South Block of the Old Press/Mill Lane area. The site, highlighted in red on the map below, sits between Mill Lane and Little St Mary’s Lane.
The Old Press/ Mill Lane masterplan
The University of Cambridge, alongside Pembroke, Queens’, and Darwin colleges, has been developing a masterplan for the area’s regeneration and, in March 2018, held a public consultation during which local stakeholders and residents provided feedback.
The consultation was very helpful and found that 77% of people surveyed expressed support for the masterplan, of which Pembroke College’s plans for the south block formed part. Further details about that consultation can be found at www.opml.sitedevelopments.cam.ac.uk
Pembroke College’s proposals
Following the masterplan consultation, Pembroke College is looking to bring forward a detailed planning application for the South Block and held two public exhibitions in September about its plans.
The exhibitions were held on Thursday 20 September between 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm and on
Friday 21 September, between 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm, at The Old Library, Pembroke College,
Cambridge, CB2 1RF
A copy of our exhibition materials is available here.
The deadline for feedback was Wednesday 17 October 2018 and we would like to thank everyone who has sent us comments.
